SUMMER CONCERT

 

Monday 22nd July - 7pm

 

George Spencer's Summer Concert will take place on Monday 22nd July at 7pm in the Upper Site Hall.

 

If you wish to purchase tickets, they will be on sale from Monday 15th July to Monday 22nd July, available via sQuid.

 

Once purchased, print your confirmation and bring on the night. Please buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.


Tickets will be priced at: £2.50 (refreshments to be served during the interval).

 


 

 

JUST SCHOOLWEAR DROP-IN SESSION

 

Thursday 18th July - 3pm - 5.30pm

 

Year 7 uniform suppliers, Just Schoolwear, will be offering a drop-in session in school in the Upper Site Hall on Thursday 18th July from 3-5.30pm.

 

 


 

 

 LAST DAY OF TERM

 

Wednesday 24th July - 12.15pm

 

Please be aware that school will finish at 12.15pm on Wednesday 24th July. Students will be in normal lessons from period 1-3.

 


 

 

SPORTS DAY

 

Tuesday 23rd July 2019 @ Harvey Hadden Stadium

 

Students in new Year 8 - 9 are expected to arrive at the lower school cage at 8.45am. They will then be transported to Harvey Hadden at 9.15am.

 

Students in new Year 10 - 11 are expected to arrive at the lower school cage at 9.45am. They will then be transported to Harvey Hadden at 10.15am.

 

Parents, please confirm your child's attendance or absence at Sports Day with their Learning Manager, either through completing the form attached below or by emailing their Learning Manager by Friday 19th.

 

Students should also bring their £1 with them to be paid on the bus. They may also bring extra money if they wish. There is a shop with snacks sold at the venue.

WORLD CLASS STATUS REACCREDITATION

 

George Spencer have been reaccredited with World Class School status after first receiving the award back in 2016 following the outstanding Ofsted inspection.

 

The World Class Schools Quality Mark (WCSQM) is considered the new measure in education for schools who have moved beyond outstanding. It seeks to establish whether schools have achieved the much harder feat of having their students demonstrate World Class skills and competencies.

 

Schools must go through a rigorous accreditation process which provides a unique insight into the impact schools have on their students. They must compile comprehensive evidence in support of their application – a process which, uniquely, is led by students.
